Tele2 launches international 5G roaming in Switzerland
MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator T2 RTK Holding, working under brand Tele2, has launched international 5G roaming on the network of telecom provider Sunrise in Switzerland for users with devices supporting 5G, Tele2 said on Monday in a statement.
“The launch of international 5G roaming will allow Tele2 subscribers to test the standard outside the trial zones, on the actual working network. European colleagues made the technology so available that its use is little different from the customary connection technologies: in a couple of clicks the user can choose a tariff for 5G on the website and buy a device supporting the technology,” Tele2’s Director for Strategic Development of Product Portfolio Oleg Reshetin said.
“It is the reality that is waiting for the Russian subscriber in the future, but our clients can feel themselves full-pledged 5G users already now.”
Tele2 said that registration in the network will be automatic.
In Tele2’s international roaming, the 5G technology will be available on the following devices: Samsung’s Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20 Ultra5G, Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Note20 5G, Galaxy S20+ 5G.
